Review:
I've said it before and I'll say it again - I love Marina's Tales! Anderson writes with such a style that hooks you from the first few words. I strongly recommend this series to all teenage girls.
This is one of my favourite self-published authors, and I am sure you will agree! :)

In the first book, Marina discovers that she is half-mermaid. This leads onto many life-changing occurrences including falling in love with surfing-pro, Ethan. At the beginning of this book, The Turning Tides, we meet Ethan's not-so-nice mother. She doesn't approve of his relationship with Marina and tries to split them up. They are so close to a perfect future together - but is the obstacle too much of a challenge to overcome?
There is more than just their relationship though - deadly experiments are being held. There are some really action-packed and exciting scenes in this book; it just made me want to read on and on.

I absolutely ADORED Marina and Ethan's romance! They are so cute together! Whenever they were in the same room together I was like: SQUEEEE!!! :D and when they argued I felt like my heart had been torn out too. There are no love triangles in this series (which usually make romance more interesting) but I think I like it that way.

With such a simple idea, Anderson has built this storyline into something bigger. I am surprised she didn't run out of ideas. Most of it is fairly unpredictable and I have no idea how she came up with such detailed and unique ways of adapting to a mermaid theme. I am so sad this series is over - I want more Marina and Ethan! :(

A lot of self-published books have a bad reputation and usually have more grammar mistakes etc. However, Anderson proves that wrong! There is the odd mistake, but I have read some mistakes in big publishing companies too. It doesn't have an impact on the story either, the writing is still beautiful.

You can definitely tell that I love this series, so I definitely think everyone should go and buy it. I think you all should have the pleasure of laughing at Marina and Ethan's adorable romance, gasping at the concsequences and 'aww'ing at the end! It is a perfect end to an amazing series. But, please, Derrolyn Anderson - can you write a '20 Years Later' chapter? ;)
